About us
Founded in 2014, Hope of Rescue is a nonprofit organization based in Bloomington (Illinois/US), working to improve the health and wellness of people across the globe through medical care, donation of medical supplies, and capacity building. Besides our local projects in the United States, our team provides the support services necessary to ensure access to education by supplying school items and supporting orphanages.
Hope of Rescue partners with organizations such as hospitals, clinics, schools, orphanages, and local health departments worldwide to improve health outcomes for individuals and communities. Our primary focus is on improving social determinants of health by targeting domains such as economic stability and opportunities, education access and quality, healthcare access and quality, and environmental protection.
Our mission is to save lives by improving healthcare systems and addressing the social determinants of health.
Health
We support unstable health systems in developing countries by providing medical equipment, training staff, and building medical infrastructures. Develop programs and workshops.
Education
We partner with colleges and universities in Africa, bringing new technologies and connecting academics from developed countries. Also, we are supporting free education in the DRC implemented by the government, assisting families with school items, and renovating educational infrastructures.
Social assistance
Considering health disparities among the immigrant population in the United States, we support the societal integration of newcomers and connect the public with the appropriate health and social services according to the expressed need.
In developing countries such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, we assist orphanages and underprivileged people affected by various social realities.
Our US team comprises committed staff from various backgrounds, willing to impact others positively. From program design and implementation to the evaluation, the skilled staff keeps working with our local and international partners focusing on social determinants of health to address health disparities among unprivileged communities.
